Natural Health Products: 7 Essentials You Didn’t Know You Were Missing

Nature’s Sunshine – Healthy Living

You do everything right to live a healthy lifestyle. You eat healthy, take your vitamins, and exercise regularly. But does it ever feel like that isn’t enough?

Even with all the hard work we put into our bodies there are still some things we don’t do because it probably hasn’t crossed our minds.

When considering natural health supplements, it’s common to ask, “What is my body missing?”

If you feel like you need an extra boost to your daily routine, here are seven essentials that you may have overlooked.

1. L-Glutamine

L-Glutamine is an amino acid that can be found naturally and is produced more than any other amino acid in the human body. This amino acid is found in abundance in our muscles and our lungs. The list of L-Glutamine benefits goes on and on, but the main benefit is that it supports cellular growth, energy, and repair.

L-Glutamine is commonly used by athletes because of its amazing ability to speed up the body’s recovery process. It also helps maintain decreasing glutamine levels while athletes work out because our bodies tend to deplete the amino acid during intense training. This, and its ability to maintain muscle mass, is why more and more athletes are choosing to add it into their daily routines.

L-Glutamine’s benefits stretch beyond the ability to help athletes speed up their recovery process. This multipurpose amino acid has been used for people who have been diagnosed with more serious conditions because of its ability to support the immune system and digestion.

Whether you’re a long-time athlete or just a beginner, L-Glutamine can be a great addition to your daily routine. It will support your muscles and help you recover faster, giving you the opportunity to get back to your workout routine more quickly.

2. CoQ10

CoQ10, or Coenzyme Q10, is found naturally in every cell in our bodies. This substance is very similar to a vitamin and helps produce the energy that we need to maintain cell growth. This substance could be called a “super vitamin” because of it’s ability to act as an antioxidant to help protect our bodies from damage.

CoQ10 is mainly found in organs such as the liver, kidney, and heart. Foods from which we may receive CoQ10 are soy oil, mackerel, beef, and peanuts. However, many people choose not to eat these items or don’t eat them enough, so it may be hard for many to get this nutrient from food alone.

This special vitamin decreases with age making it very important to receive through dietary supplements. CoQ10 helps support normal blood pressure levels, while also promoting healthy cardiovascular function. It also supports energy production, helps reduce cellular oxidative stress throughout the body, and exhibits antioxidant and neuro-protective properties.

This is a great supplement to add to your diet as you get older to prevent losing too much of this powerful nutrient. Around the age of 30 your CoQ10 levels start to decline dramatically, so if you haven’t thought about CoQ10, it might be time to consider adding it to your routine.

3. Fish Oil

Fish oil contains omega-3 fatty acids that the body cannot produce on its own. Omega-3s are difficult to receive because their primary source is fish, which many people just do not like or cannot eat because of allergies. This supplement is available for those who do not have the ability to get their omega-3 fatty acids in their normal, everyday diet.

Fish oil is another one of those “super vitamins” in which the benefits to taking it stretch far and wide. It’s been said to support mood and mental well-being so well that the supplement has been nicknamed “brain food.” Fish oil helps maintain healthy blood pressure levels while also supporting the cardiovascular system.

The list just keeps going for this supplement, fish oil can help support our immune systems and many athletes will take it to help keep off that little bit of unwanted weight that can build up on our lower stomachs. Fish oil is an all around great supplement to consider taking at any age. It will support your mood and help you feel better the longer you consistently take it.

4. Glucosamine

Glucosamine is produced naturally inside our bodies, particularly in the fluid around our joints. There are two types of glucosamine that are available in pill form, one with hydrochloride and the other with sulfate. The glucosamine that contains sulfate is believed to be the component that helps stimulate the growth of new cartilage in our bodies. This particular nutrient is some-times produced by shellfish, but that doesn’t mean that we can receive it from food. Glucosamine doesn’t occur naturally in any food, making it difficult for us to receive without taking additional supplements.

Because of its ability to stimulate cartilage growth, glucosamine eases the joint pain that comes along with many bone diseases. In addition to our joints, it also supports our structural, nervous, and even our immune systems.

If you’re noticing joint pain then consider this as an option to add to your daily supplements. Glucosamine is another great one for athletes to consider because of its ability to help support comfortable joints.

5. Vitamin D

You probably think you get enough vitamin D through your diet. However, most of our vitamin D is absorbed through the body from direct sunlight, making this a great supplement for those who don’t live in areas that are constantly sunny. Vitamin D can be found in certain types of fish, but is usually added to various dairy products for people to receive. Because many people have food allergies, the supplement is a great option for those who do not receive enough vitamin D through sunlight or their diet.

One of the main functions of this vitamin is to help keep our bodies from bone loss, pain, and even weak bones. Because of this vitamin’s ability to maintain calcium and phosphorus levels in our bodies, it’s an all around great vitamin to support bone health at any age.

Just like fish oil, vitamin D is a great one to start thinking about taking early on in life. Bone loss is a very serious issue and it’s important to start thinking about how to care for your bones as early as possible. It’s never too late to consider your long-term health.

6. Olive Leaf Extract

Many of you have probably made the switch to cooking with olive oil in the past ten years. It has a great taste and isn’t as unhealthy as some of the other oils out there. With the many uses for olive oil that keep popping up, have you thought that it isn’t just used for cooking?
Every component of the olive tree can be used to create something beneficial for our bodies. The oil part comes from the seeds and fruit, while the water extracts and leaves are used for medicine.

Olive leaf extract protects our bodies from unwanted invaders. This is a great supplement to take throughout the year because it’s been said to support the immune system. Olive leaf can also support the circulatory, urinary, and digestive systems. Additionally, the fatty acids in the oil have been said to support blood pressure and blood sugar levels already within the normal range. It also fights free radical damage by bad cholesterol. Who knew the uses for the olive tree extended so far beyond the kitchen?

7. Green Zone, Ultimate

Getting the right amount of vegetables in our diets can be extremely difficult. Even if you’re an avid veggie-eater, sometimes the ones you consume may not be packed with enough nutrients to satiate your body’s needs. Sometimes you just need to get a little extra boost to your already healthy daily routine.

You’ve heard of adding greens to your diet with powders in smoothies, but why not try a taking a capsule of your daily dose of greens? GreenZone, Ultimate is packed full of various green vegetables, like broccoli and kale, that many people are adding to their daily meal plans.

We know that hearty kale isn’t for everyone. GreenZone, Ultimate is great for those who can’t seem to get those nutritious vegetables into their diets the old fashioned way. This supplement allows you to get your daily recommended amount without having to force yourself to eat the vegetables you don’t like.

This supplement will help your body maintain its natural functions so that you feel energized. An additional bonus is that it helps support our body’s immune systems and enhances elimination.

AICR Changes the Modern Understanding and Holistic Thinking About Cancer

Finally, someone who thinks the way we think and listens to us. Please check it out.

AICR has changed the modern understanding and holistic thinking about cancer.

http://www.aicr.org/learn-more-about-cancer/infographics/recommendation-on-supplements.html

The American Institute for Cancer Research recently made these statements:

AICR research shows that approximately 1 in 3 cancers could be prevented if we all ate better, moved more and weighed less. That’s nearly 345,000 cancers that don’t have to happen every year in the U.S. alone. Add in not smoking, and we could prevent hundreds of thousands more.

You can protect yourself today!

  • Eat more fiber-rich vegetables, whole grains, fruits and beans
  • Eat less beef, pork and lamb
  • Avoid processed meats like cold cuts, bacon and sausage
  • Drink less alcohol
  • Move more, in any way, every day
  • Stay a healthy weight
  • If you smoke, stop. If you don’t, never start.

In 1982, American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) was founded to advance the simple but then-radical idea that cancer could be prevented. AICR focused on the link between diet and cancer, and immediately began supporting cutting-edge research in this area and educating the public about the results.

Today, they continue to fund research in the field of nutrition, physical activity and cancer prevention, treatment and survival. They interpret the results of that research, along with findings from the global scientific community, to craft reliable, evidence-based recommendations for lower cancer risk.

How Do You Treat Your Classy Chassis?

While clearing out junk, Dick found a funny clipping asking “If My Body Were a Car?” It begins with “If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I’ve got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull…But that’s not the worst of it. Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!”

This reminded Joy of a poem she wrote many years ago that addresses this. We are sharing it for your enjoyment, and also some serious thinking about how you treat your classy chassis. We hope you will enjoy it.

YOUR CLASSY CHASSIS

I KNOW WHEN MY ENGINE IS SLUGGISH,

YOU ASK ME…HOW DO I KNOW?

BECAUSE THIS BODY IS MINE,

I MAKE IT STOP AND I MAKE IT GO.

I CALCULATE ITS FUEL,

I CLOG ITS CYLINDERS WHEN I FEED IT JUNK.

IF I DON’T SYSTEMICALLY FLUSH IT,

ITS PIPES WILL BECOME PUTRID AND FILLED WITH GUNK!

I KNOW I MUST ACCELERATE,

AND IMPROVE MY MILAGE EVERY DAY…

TO PHYSICALLY STRENGTHEN MY CHASSIS,

TO PREVENT FREEZE-UP AND DECAY.

YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST MECHANIC,

YOU RESPOND WITH EVERY MOVE THAT YOU MAKE.

YOU CANNOT BE REPLACED WITH A NEW MODEL,

SO…STEP ON THE GAS AND LET OFF THE BRAKE.

DEPEND ON NO ONE AS MUCH AS YOURSELF,

ON THE SURFACE YOU MAY LOOK JUST FINE.

IT’S WHAT LIES UNDER YOUR COAT OF PAINT,

THAT WILL CARRY YOU TO THE END OF THE LINE.

YOUR EYES ARE LIKE YOUR HEADLIGHTS…

ONLY YOU CONTROL THE BRIGHTNESS OF THEIR BEAM.

YOUR FEET CAN REVEAL YOUR WORN OUT TREADS…

YOU MUST KEEP THEM INFLATED AND CLEAN.

YOUR SPINE CAN BE A CLASSY CHASSIS,

TO KEEP YOUR MOTOR IN TUNE AND ALIGNED.

YOUR FOOD MAY BE A PREMIUM FUEL,

DEPENDING UPON WHAT YOU HAVE DINED.

JUST ASK ANY EXPERT MECHANIC,

WHAT IS THE BEST AND LEAST COSTLY WAY?

YOU SPOT THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT ERUPTS,

YOU USE PREVENTENTIVE MAINTENANCE EVERY DAY.

GIVE INTO YOUR BODY,

WHAT YOU WANT IT TO GIVE YOU BACK.

THIS YEAR’S MODEL IS ALL THAT YOU HAVE –

YOU GAUGE ITS PERFORMANCE ON THE TRACK.

WILL YOU BE A VINTAGE MODEL?

WILL YOUR VALUE INCREASE WITH AGE?

OR WILL YOU BECOME A DECREPID MODEL,

LISTED DAILY ON THE OBITUARIES PAGE?

Do You Know Which Plastics Have The Highest Cancer Risk?

Source: Herbs-Info.com

With over 1,600,000 new cases of cancer predicted for 2016 in the USA, it’s not surprising that people are getting serious about finding the culprits that increase the risk of this class of disease. Plastics have often been suggested as one of these everyday carcinogens. Frustratingly, evidence is often scarce or inconclusive. However, there are some plastic chemicals it is wise to reduce exposure to in order to minimize health risk.

Do You Know Which Plastics Have The Highest Cancer Risk?

At the bottom of the bottle, you will find a triangle with a number, which can be anywhere from one to seven. With the symbol you see, you can learn which type of plastic you have in your hand and just how safe – how unsafe – it might be.

Number 1: Known as PET or PETE, the bottle with this number means that it should only be used once. This is because reusing them can expose people to a chemical substance called EPA. The plastic could also possibly emit antimony, which is a heavy metal that can interfere with the hormones in the body. It is also possible that the plastic is carcinogenic.

Number 2: If you find a triangle with the number “2” in it, the bottle is known as HDPE or HDP, which is considered the good plastic. It is named so because it doesn’t have as much emission as the other types of chemicals used in the other bottles when in contact with water.

Number 3: Also labeled as V or PVC, the number 3 in the bottle means that it has two toxic chemicals that can both influence the hormones in the body. Still, PVC is the most used type of plastic around and contains phthalates, including often the carcinogenic phthalate DEHP (see below).

Number 4: LDPE plastics have the number 4, which means they don’t emit chemicals when used in water bottles. However, most of them are actually present in plastic bags.

Number 5: PP or number 5 plastics are also good types of plastics. They are recognizable because of their white color. Sometimes, they are transparent. PP plastics are common in cups of yogurt and syrup bottles.

Number 6: Although this emits STIREN, which is carcinogenic, this plastic is used in fast food packaging as well as in coffee cups.

Number 7: Finally, plastics with no labels are in this category where they are known as PC. You should not trust plastics without labels because they often emit BPA, which is a very harmful chemical. Unfortunately, PC plastics are common in containers for food, sports drink bottles, and worse, infant bottles.

Plastics Implicated As Carcinogens

There are some compounds found in many plastics that are thought to contribute towards risk of cancer. Evidence tends to be limited, as studying the effects of these in humans has some obvious ethical barriers.

The three most supported compounds are:
• Phthalates
• Bisphenol A (BPA)
• Dioxins

Dioxins: The third of these, dioxins, you are less likely to contract directly in your day to day life as they are released during the incineration of plastic waste, particularly PVCs. They are not present in containers designed for food storage.

Exposure to dioxins is the primarily through food. Animals in polluted areas store the compound in their fat reserves, and the chemical accumulates through the food chain. Limiting consumption of fish or meat with a high fat content reduces exposure to these compounds. [1]

Phthalates and BPA are more likely to present due to plastics that you yourself are using. In 2011, Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) was listed in the US Report on Carcinogens as “reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen based on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity from studies in experimental animals”. [2] This stuff is everywhere and regarded as a ubiquitous environmental pollutant. From the 2011 Report on Carcinogens:

“About 95% of DEHP produced is used as a plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins for fabricating flexible vinyl products (ATSDR 2002). Products typically contain from 1% to 40% DEHP; however, Tickner et al. (2001) reported that DEHP levels in PVC medical tubing may be as high as 80%. Plasticized PVC has been used in many consumer items and building products, such as tablecloths, shower curtains, furniture and automobile upholstery, imitation leather, garden hoses, floor tiles, swimming-pool liners, sheathing for wire and cable, rainwear, shoes, toys, dolls, baby pants, food packaging materials, tubing used in commercial milking equipment, and weather
stripping (IARC 2000, ATSDR 2002, Bizzari et al. 2007).” [2]

BPA is a weak synthetic estrogen, which unsurprisingly can act as a hormone disruptor. As various cancers are related to hormonal controls, including some forms of breast cancer, many people feel that it is wise to limit exposure to BPA. [3]

An important point to observe is to ensure correct use of plastic items. Heating food in a plastic container containing BPA or phthalates is more likely to result in your food becoming contaminated with these harmful chemicals. Allowing plastics to come into contact with detergents can also result in these chemicals being released.

Which Plastics To Avoid?

A common recommendation is to avoid or exercise caution when using PETE, PVC, or Polystyrene plastics. There are easily identified by the standard labels found on plastic products: a triangle containing a number. These three types of plastic are numbers 1, 3, and 6.

Common uses of each of these include:

• #1 – PETE (polyethyleneterephthalate): flexible drink or oil containers
• #3 – PVC (polyvinyl chloride): plastic trays for sweets or fruit, innumerable other consumer uses.
• #6 – PS (polystyrene): Toys, hard packing, CD cases, vending machine cups
• #7 – Miscellaneous. Caution should be exercised when using products that fall into category 7. This is a kind of ‘misc.’ box for plastics that do not fall into one of the other classifications. It is therefore difficult to make any generalizations about the potential impacts of these as the chemical structure varies more widely. Categories 3 and 7 are considered most likely to contain BPA. [3]

Final note
Checking which type of plastic you are using takes only a few moments, and could have considerable impacts on your health. Realistically, no matter what we do we’re likely to contract trace quantities of all kinds of plastic compounds from the world around us. Reducing your own intake, however, could make all the difference.

Are NSP Products Subjected to X-Ray or Irradiation during Shipment?

NSP who could not confirm the question either way but did send us the following info provided by NSP’s Marketing Department. “Regarding the X-ray Radiation comment we talked about, we are unaware if UPS or the USPS Postal Service run the packages through an x-ray. We were able to find the following statement provided by our Marketing Department:

X-Ray Safety Statement

Exposing foods or dietary supplements to an x-ray machine at an airport or post office will not affect potency. An x-ray scan should not be confused with irradiation. If you took your herbs to the airport the amount of exposure in the airport is an extremely low dose from the x-ray scanners (0.15-0.17 millirads). The amount of radiation used for irradiation of foods is 1-10Kilograys (1gray=100rads) so that is a 100,000,000 times difference. There should be no effect on the herbs or health from brief exposure to x-ray scanners. Exposure to radiation from an x-ray machine is not considered comparable in any way to irradiation. Foods exposed to a common x-ray machine have not been shown to be altered in any way, unlike foods that are exposed to irradiation. NSP has strict quality control measures in place to ensure that none of the raw materials we receive are exposed to irradiation.”

Joy checked with both UPS and USPS. Packages being shipped via air are scanned in the same way as your luggage would be. If any suspicious item shows in the scan, the boxes are opened and hand checked and a notice is included when the package is re-closed stating that it was hand inspected. This scanning is not irradiation. It is the same low dosage your carry on items and luggage receive when going thru airline security checks.

Action Alert from ANH USA!

Write to your representatives in Congress and urge them to support HR 2871. Please send your message immediately.

Congressmen Morgan Griffith (R-VA) and Henry Cuellar (R-TX) recently introduced HR 2871, the Preserving Patient Access to Compounded Medications Act of 2017. This is an important first step toward saving many natural, customized medicines from the chopping block. Without a doubt, this will receive significant opposition from Big Pharma and from the FDA itself making your support crucial for getting this legislation passed. This is our moment to act. We’ve been telling you for years how the FDA has been waging an all-out war on customized, natural medicines made at specialized pharmacies. FDA actions threaten to wipe these life-saving medications off the map. Congress has repeatedly scolded the FDA through language in congressional spending bills for distorting lawmakers’ intent and needlessly limiting patient access to important medications. The agency’s fidelity to Big Pharma is the only explanation we can develop for this lawless behavior. This new bill does two important things. It amends section 503A of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to unequivocally allow “office use” of compounded drugs, which allows a doctor to keep a supply of certain medications in his or her office in order to provide immediate treatment to patients who need it.

The bill also mandates the FDA to accept USP monographs. Last year the FDA, with no explanation or justification, stated that it would not accept supplement USP monographs. This meant that in order to be used in customized, natural medicines, supplements had to be nominated for the FDA’s pre-approved list. Many supplements were nominated, but, no surprise, the FDA rejected them. Even a supplement, however, like curcumin, with very important medical uses. Behind the scenes, of course, Pharma is trying to turn curcumin or a synthetic analogue in a drug. This bill doesn’t fix every misguided action of the FDA since the agency began implementing the Drug Quality and Security Act of 2013. However, this bill is a major first step forward in saving important natural medications from the FDA’s chopping block, and it needs our support.

In Honor and Memory of Health Freedom Fighter – Clinton Ray Miller

Clinton Ray Miller, known as the Father of Health Freedom, passed away four years ago on July 24, 2013, in Cedar City, Utah. He had a huge influence on the freedoms we enjoy in the health industry. Clinton was a true fighter extraordinaire for what he believed to be true and dedicated his entire life making these dreams a reality for all. This month we honor a life well lived!

In 2003, Clinton described his entry into the politics of health freedom: “My life as a health freedom activist started about 50 years ago in Salt Lake City, Utah. I started one of the first health bakeries in the United States. I called it Clinton’s Wheat Shop. My motto was “The Whiter the Bread, the Sooner You’re Dead.” It was printed in bold letters on the back of my truck and on the label of every loaf of bread we sold. We made 100% whole wheat “HEALTH BREAD”. We ground the wheat fresh every day on stone burr mills. It was made without any preservatives.”

Clinton Miller along with his wife Bonnie was the pioneer of all pioneers, working to protect health freedom for all Americans. His conviction that “Health Freedom is second only to Religious Freedom” was the foundation of his life’s work.

In the spirit of honoring Clinton Miller and his lifelong work on our behalf, please support the Sunshine Health Freedom Foundation with your contributions via Nature’s Sunshine and other health freedom groups who are fighting for our right to remain free and true to our beliefs of being able to make choices on how we treat our bodies. Much of the freedoms we enjoy today are because of the efforts of Clinton Ray Miller and those who have followed in his foot path.

News Update from EWG on Triclosan Ban

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned triclosan and other antibacterial ingredients in hand and body washes, effective Sept. 6, 2017. (Included in this ban are Body Washes, Facial Soaps, and Hand Soaps)

Triclosan is an antimicrobial chemical that pollutes people and the environment. It is found in most Americans, where it may be interfering with the hormone and reproductive systems and increasing sensitivity to allergens. Although Triclosan will soon be banned from soaps because of concern that it is neither safe nor effective, yet it may be found in hundreds of other products. EWG’s review of industry documents and government databases on approved uses identified places all around the house where triclosan may be hiding.

Triclosan and other antimicrobials, added to many soaps and other everyday products – and found in the bodies of more than three-fourths of Americans – likely harm people’s health and the environment, while providing no benefit to consumers, said more than 200 scientists and medical professionals in a consensus statement published on June 20. The statement in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Environmental Health Perspectives, coauthored by EWG, recommends an end to the indiscriminate and widespread use of triclosan, triclocarban and other antimicrobial chemicals in cosmetics and consumer products.

EWG and the scientists who signed the statement believe antimicrobials should only be used if adequate testing shows that they are safe and they have been proven effective for particular uses. Scientists are concerned that widespread use of antimicrobials in consumer products could contribute to growing antibiotic resistance and make the vital medical uses of antimicrobials ineffective.  On September 6, as a result of many years of efforts by EWG and other public health and consumer interest organizations, a Food and Drug Administration ban will go into effect, prohibiting the use of triclosan, triclocarbon and 16 other antimicrobial chemicals in soap products. This action comes four decades after the FDA said it did not have data to show triclosan was safe or effective, and raised concern about human health and the amount absorbed through the skin. However, the agency will allow continued use of the chemicals in other personal care items. Triclosan in personal care products is just one part of the story. While the antimicrobials market changes all the time, triclosan is still approved for use in building materials, housewares, cleaning supplies, textiles and apparel, and outdoor and sports gear. It is also permitted in phones, toothbrushes and razors, and in children’s items, such as bibs, toys and playground equipment.

An Era Ends in Richmond, VA on June 30th

We regret to tell you that Bashaw Life Center in Midlothian will be closing its doors on June 30, 2017. Ed and Mique Bashaw, our sponsors, mentors and friends, moved from Rochester, NY to Virginia in 1980. Dick met Ed in February 1981, liked what Ed told him, and immediately scheduled a meeting with friends. The one hour meeting lasted for three hours and was so successful that we immediately sponsored that evening under Ed and Mique and became managers our first month. And so their success continued and our success began. As Mique said, “Our business really took off when we moved to Virginia and made that our home.” Ed will always be remembered for two simple and highly successful business-building techniques: First, he would stop strangers on the street, in a store, in an airport or anywhere and ask them “Do you like your job, and do you make as much money as you would like to make?” or “Do you know anyone who is interested in their health?” Second, Ed always carried bottles of TeiFu Oil and Peppermint Oil in his pockets, and offered them to everyone he met, explaining their benefits to relieve a headache or muscle pain within seconds and stop a cough or soothe a scratchy throat or stuffy nose just as quickly. Ed never met a stranger; to him everyone was a potential friend or business contact.

After Ed passed in 1996, Mique continued to make Virginia her home and made her youngest son Kirk her business partner. Kirk lives in the Rochester area, which made it inconvenient for him to physically support the business in Virginia. After Mique’s fall and injury on NSP’s 2014 Danube River Cruise, Mique began to realize her need and desire to move back home where three of her four children still live. She is enjoying her life in Rochester with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was in 1996, after Ed’s death, that Nature’s Sunshine began presenting the Ed Bashaw Spirit of Sharing Award each year at convention. Winning this award is an honor cherished by recipients and desired by everyone.

A sadness to all who knew Ed and know Mique is that the name Bashaw will no longer be associated in their business’ name. Kirk has just opened an office near his home where he can stock inventory and do consultations. Kirk has chosen to rename the business “the Natural-Path.” Old habits are hard to break, so all those who knew Ed and Mique will probably always think of the business as ‘Bashaw Life Center’, regardless of what its name may be. Looking forward, we are happy that Kirk will now be able to utilize the knowledge and credentials he has attained to keep the business growing in his new office under its new name. We wish Kirk all the best in his new venture. This will be an exciting time of growth for him.
